Effective date: 5 September 2026. Pre-release draft, published for review ahead of the app's release.
Pre-release gap, stated openly. Apple's minimum EULA terms require the developer's name and address for end-user questions, complaints, and claims. The operator's full legal entity name, registered address, governing law, and required consumer-dispute terms are pending legal review and are deliberately not invented here. They must be inserted before submission to App Review.
Service and eligibility
adBlock provides domain name system filtering through Apple's native encrypted DNS settings. It is not a traffic VPN, an antivirus product, a parental-control service, or a guarantee that every advertisement, tracker, malicious site, or same-domain resource will be blocked. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and to use the service lawfully.
The current backend is a single-node service. Maintenance, network failures, provider failures, policy errors, or another VPN controlling DNS may interrupt or reduce filtering. No uptime or uninterrupted-service guarantee is made.
Auto-renewable subscriptions
The offered plans are:
- adBlock protection, monthly: €0.99 per month, renewing automatically each month. Each period provides continuous ad and tracker DNS filtering for the whole month.
- adBlock protection, annual: €4.99 per year, renewing automatically each year. Each period provides continuous ad and tracker DNS filtering for the whole year. Eligible new subscribers receive a 7-day free trial, then €4.99 per year.
The App Store purchase sheet displays the binding localized price and trial eligibility. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A free trial converts automatically to the annual paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Each paid subscription renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased, where applicable.
Manage or cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the current paid period: the current period itself cannot be cancelled part-way through. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds and billing disputes are handled under Apple's rules. Prices, taxes, currencies, and trial eligibility can vary by storefront, and changes apply only as permitted and disclosed by Apple.
When entitlement expires, ad and tracker filtering is disabled. The service is designed to fail open to an unfiltered DNS route so ordinary name resolution can continue where the resolver remains reachable. This is not a promise that connectivity will always be available.
Licence
Velorion grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use adBlock on Apple devices you own or control as allowed by App Store rules. You may not reverse engineer it except where law forbids that restriction, circumvent subscription or abuse controls, resell the service, probe other users' data, interfere with infrastructure, or use the service unlawfully.
The app incorporates a blocklist governed by Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported. The required attribution and licence information is on the support page.
User rules and acceptable use
You control the custom domains and Wi-Fi names you enter, and you are responsible for their lawfulness and accuracy. Rules may break websites or services. Velorion may suspend or revoke credentials used to attack, overload, or evade controls, or to violate the law or these terms.
Privacy, changes, and termination
The privacy policy describes DNS processing, installation integrity, subscriptions, aggregate counts, and deletion.
We may modify or discontinue features, blocklists, or the service. Material changes to these terms will be published with an effective date. You may stop using the service and cancel renewal at any time. Sections that by their nature survive termination, including ownership, warranty limitations, and liability limits, continue to apply.
Warranties and liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available". Mandatory consumer rights are not excluded. Velorion is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for content that DNS filtering fails to block, to the extent such exclusions are lawful. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Apple-required terms
This agreement is between you and Velorion, not Apple. Velorion, not Apple, is responsible for the app, support, warranties, product claims, and intellectual property claims, subject to applicable law. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If the app fails an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for any refund Apple provides, and Apple has no other warranty obligation to the extent permitted by law.
You represent that you are not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not listed on a prohibited or restricted-party list. You must comply with third-party terms, including carrier and Apple terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.
